We are looking for Peer Pals Volunteers

Do you have lived experience of health conditions and would like to support others with the same issues? Do you have a health condition that makes you feel isolated and you’d like to connect with others in the same boat?

Peer Pals is a new service in South Tyneside looking for volunteers with lived experience in:
MSK and Chronic pain conditions
Weight management/loss
❤️🩹Cardiac Rehabilitation/Cardiac events
Ex smokers who have successfully quit
Peer Pals use their lived experience of health conditions to offer support, empathy and encouragement to someone else also going through the same issue. Peer support can be delivered through WhatsApp messaging Aswell as face to face activity’s. The role is flexible, can work around personal commitments, helps promote healthy lifestyle changes, great for meaningful use of spare time, will support peoples CV’s, and training is provided
