    Grants are available to local voluntary and community groups and organisations working in Tyne & Wear and Northumberland for projects which support local people in overcoming disadvantage, creating stronger communities and improving the local area.

  3. Catherine Cookson Charitable Trust

    One-off grants are available to local charities within the North East of England for a wide range of charitable activities including education, training, environment, conservation, arts, culture and general charitable purposes.

  4. Tyne & Wear and Northumberland Community Foundation - 1989 Willan Charitable Trust

    Grants are available to local registered charities for charitable activities that benefit the residents in Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Teesside.

  5. Sir James Knott Trust

    Grants are available to charities in the North East of England to help improve the conditions of people living and working in Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, County Durham, and Hartlepool.

  6. Hadrian Trust (North East England)

    Grants are available to help social welfare and charitable organisations working to improve the lives of people in the North East of England, particularly those working in the fields of social welfare, youth, disability, the elderly, women, ethnic minorities, education, arts and the environment.

  7. Rothley Trust

    Grants are available for voluntary and community organisations undertaking general charitable activities in the north east of England.

  8. Ballinger Charitable Trust

    Grants are available for charities, voluntary organisations and community groups for projects that support young and older people in the North East of England.

  9. Barbour Foundation

    Grants are available to registered charities for projects addressing community welfare, housing and social deprivation issues, mainly in the North East of England.

  10. Karbon Homes - Community Funding

    Grants are available for local not-for-profit and voluntary community organisations, as well as local schools, to support local community projects which have a positive impact on the lives of Karbon residents in North East England.

  11. North East Social Investment Fund

    Impact investment for charities and social enterprises in the North East that are making a positive social impact in areas such as homelessness, poverty, unemployment, health and social care, mental health, offender rehabilitation and the regeneration of deprived communities.

  12. Joicey Trust

    Grants are available for registered charities to carry out charitable projects within Northumberland and the old Metropolitan Borough of Tyne & Wear as well as the Scottish Borders.

  13. Greggs Foundation - Hardship Fund

    Grants are available to charities or social organisations working with families and financially excluded people in North-East England who are experiencing furniture poverty to purchase individual items that can make a huge difference to their lives.

    Support for the development of small- and medium-sized charitable organisations to improve resilience and secure future funding.

  15. R W Mann Trust

    Grants are available for charitable and voluntary organisations working for the relief of the poor, aged or infirm, the advancement of education and the promotion of social welfare of a charitable nature in the North East of England.

  16. The W.A. Handley Charity Trust

    Grants are available to charities in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Co Durham (including Hartlepool) and Cumbria (including Carlisle) for a wide range of projects that benefit the community.

  17. Gillian Dickinson Trust

    A very small number of grants are available to small charities in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and County Durham for projects which support excellence in the arts by the young and to provide rural experiences for those deprived of the opportunity.

    Grants are available for UK-registered charities working in the North East of England, York, Harrogate, Greater Manchester, and the City of Bradford in the areas of culture and the arts, education, the natural environment, community development, and promoting health and medicine.

    Grants and interest-free loans are available to registered charities working in the North East of England to improve the quality of life for local people.

  20. William Webster Charitable Trust

    Grants are available for voluntary and community organisations in the North East carrying out projects with a clear benefit to the local community, particularly those involving young people, older and elderly people, and people with disabilities.
