Tips on how to use the Refugee Council Funding toolkit
The Refugee Council Funding toolkit allows you to search for funding and to keep on top of funding opportunities available for your refugee community organisation quickly and easily. The toolkit provides users with the opportunity to access a free funder finder database to enable them to autonomously search for funding for their programme activities and services.
Tips on searching
You are given a series of tick boxes to provide information about your organisation, your area of work, the focus of your project and the costs you are trying to cover. You can also use a key word search too to further narrow down your results if necessary.
On ticking the relevant boxes and searching you are given a list of results which match your criteria on a local, regional and national basis. You can then further search and filter your results to ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements and that you meet the objectives of the fund. You can then produce a report which will provide all of the information about the funder and how to apply.
Saving your search results
You can save every single type of search you run, and the portal will continue to do the hard work in the background for you. As soon as a fund fulfils the eligibility that you have set you will be notified that a fund is available that may suit your needs.
There is also lots of useful information available in the ‘Useful Resources’ section which includes toolkits, guides and other resources (some of them provided by our partners with key contacts) and other information to support your organisation.
