Welcome to Hull 4 Funding Community Portal, the free funding search tool for Not for Profit Organisations.
As you will know Hull City Council provide you with the free use of the Hull 4 Funding Community Portal to allow organisations to search for external funding opportunities.
From time to time we send out Surveys. We would be
grateful if you could spend 5 minutes to complete these Surveys – the information gathered from the feedback will allow Hull City Council to determine the future resubscription of this portal, in order that we can continue to bring this portal to you for free in future years.
*NEWS*......We are pleased to announce that we (Hull City Council) have re-subscribed to the Hull 4 Funding Community Portal for a further 3 years. The portal is now available to you, for free, until April 2028.
To date, organisations that use this Hull 4 Funding portal have reported securing a minimum of £9.45 million. That's £9.45 million that has supported a vast array of fantastic projects, making a significant difference to the residents of Hull. Please ensure you continue to report your funding successes back to us. Thank you.

City Health Care Partnership Foundation - Small Grants
Northern Powergrid Foundation Grants - Energy Resilience Grants:
The funding supports energy resilience initiatives in communities served by Northern Powergrid, particularly those most affected by economic, environmental, and societal changes linked to the evolving energy system.
The programme aims to help communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from energy disruptions, ensuring they remain safe, connected, and supported.
Organisations can apply for funding up to £20,000 and applications close on 14th April, 2026.

Easyfundraising Impact Fund:
The easyfundraising Impact Fund is offering 20 unrestricted grants of £500 to UK not-for-profit organisations.
The grant is unrestricted, so it can be used wherever the money is needed most to support your work.
Applications open on Monday 23rd February 2026 and close on Sunday 5th April 2026.

Local Music Impact Award - Deadline extended until 1st March, 2026:
The applications for the for the Local Music Impact Award, as part of this year’s Music Cities Awards is closing in rapidly.
This award recognises Hull-based initiatives that are strengthening and sustaining the city’s local music ecosystem, from supporting artists and venues to building audiences, networks, and long-term infrastructure.
If you (or you know of) work that is making a meaningful difference to Hull’s music scene, we would strongly encourage them/you to apply.
What this award celebrates:
*Local music ecosystems and collaboration
*Support for artists, venues, and audiences
*Network-building and talent development
*Sustainable, long-term impact rooted in Hull
The award is open to Hull-based organisations, programmes, and partnerships that demonstrate clear local impact and city-wide collaboration.

The Screwfix Foundation:
The Screwfix Foundation offer grants of up to £5,000 to support UK registered charities and not-for-profit organisations.
Projects that will improve, repair and maintain homes and community facilities used by those in need throughout the UK are eligible to apply.
Deadline: Ongoing. Applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis.

Guidance for using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Fundraising
The Fundraising Regulator has issued Guidance on Using AI in Fundraising.
The purpose of this guidance is to help charitable fundraising institutions comply with the Code of Fundraising Practice (the code) when using artificial intelligence (AI) for fundraising purposes. Follow this guidance whenever you are exploring, preparing for and using AI to carry out charitable fundraising. It is for each charitable fundraising institution to decide if using AI is right for them.

Sector Connect, Hull
Sector Connect, Hull is a partnership to support voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations working in Hull. They offer free impartial advice, guidance and information for anyone who wants to set up a voluntary group, charity or community business, and for anyone who volunteers, governs or works for one. They work flexibly with a range of people, and can offer help by telephone, email, face-to-face and online meetings. Sector Connect, Hull are funded by Hull City Council to provide the following:
* Capacity Building (Start up, Governance and Funding advice, Managing people, Demonstrating impact, Growth & development and One-off queries);
* Training & Events (Statutory training, continuous professional development training and Sector specific training;

Two Ridings Community Foundation offers grants to organisation in the Hull area, some are on a rolling programme and you can apply any time, but others may have a deadline. Please ensure you check the deadlines before you apply.

When someone supporting your organisation books a holiday, the company they book with will send your organisation a free donation as a thank you.
Just one person booking a family holiday could raise an average £50 donation. Think what multiple people could do.

New Fundraising Code
From 1 November 2025, fundraising regulation in the UK is evolving to reflect modern fundraising practices. Fundraising organisations should review the new code and support guides and begin preparing to ensure compliance. For more information click here

Civil Society Covenant
The Government is soon to launch the Civil Society Covenant.
What is the Civil Society Covenant?
The Covenant is a new agreement to improve and reset the relationship between civil society and government. The Covenant is designed to:
- support collaboration between civil society organisations and government
- ensure respect for the different roles we play, and protect our independence
- support all public bodies and civil society organisations
- build on and support existing agreements in place at a local level
- complement other arrangements in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
