Welcome to Hull 4 Funding Community Portal, the free funding search tool for Not for Profit Organisations.
As you will know Hull City Council provide you with the free use of the Hull 4 Funding Community Portal to allow organisations to search for external funding opportunities.
From time to time we send out Surveys. We would be
very grateful if you could spend 5 minutes to complete these Surveys – the information gathered from the feedback will allow Hull City Council to determine the future resubscription of this portal, in order that we can continue to bring this portal to you for free in future years.

We are pleased to announce that we (Hull City Council) have re-subscribed to the Hull 4 Funding Community Portal for a further 3 years. The portal is now available to you, for free, until April 2028.
To date, organisations that use this Hull 4 Funding portal have reported securing a minimum of £9.45 million. Please ensure you continue to report your funding successes back to us, so we can continue to bring this Portal to you, for free, in future years. Thank you.

One Stop - Community Partnership
The One Stop Community Partnership programme invites local community groups to apply for funding of up to £1,000, alongside the opportunity to work in partnership with their local One Stop.
This programme is designed to support community groups or organisations operating within two miles of a One Stop store and which are:
*Tackling food poverty
*Supporting the vulnerable
*Supporting the elderly
*Supporting low-income families
*Running youth sports teams
*Reducing and/or recycling waste
*Improving the environment
Applications are currently closed but will reopen on 1st September 2026.

Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority Community Fund:
The Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority has announced a £1m Mayoral Community Fund.
Applicants can propose activities through an online portal on the Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority website.

Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation - Small Change Big Difference Fund:
Grants to support registered charities and good causes in local communities across the UK to alleviate poverty, improve health and save lives.
Maximum Value £2,500.

Audible - Future Stories Fund:
Grants are available for organisations working with young people in Yorkshire and the Humber areas to deliver projects and activities that use the power of storytelling and language to give historically marginalised young people a voice in shaping their future.
Grants of up to £15k are available.
Deadline for applications - 17th May, 2026.

Charity of F P Finn:
Grants are available for local not-for-profit organisations undertaking benevolent projects in Hull or East Riding of Yorkshire which carry out specific projects to improve the quality of life for residents of Hull or East Riding of Yorkshire.
There is no application deadline as this is a rolling programme.
Although grants of up to £2,500 have been offered in the past, normally grants tend to be for smaller amounts.
Funding Restrictions: The following are not eligible for funding:
*General Overheads;
* Individuals;
*Groups and projects outside Hull or East Riding of Yorkshire;
*National charitable organisations.
Eligible Expenditure:
Grants are intended to help with the costs of specific projects, events or equipment.

The Nunburnholme Trust:
Small grants (up to a Maximum of £500) are available for community groups and self-help groups in Hull for projects that support education, young people, the elderly and the unemployed.
Funding is intended to support projects that improve the lives of people within Hull. Priority is given to education and projects helping the young, elderly and the unemployed.
The Trust does not have a website or a formal application form
To apply, groups should send a letter and a copy of their annual accounts/financial statement to the Trust. Letters can be sent at any time and will be considered by the trustees at one of their meetings, which are held three times a year (February, June and October).

Youth Music Trailblazer Fund
The funding aims to support young people who want to change their lives through music but cannot because of who they are, where they are from or what they are going through.
Value Notes Two levels of grants are available: *Grants of £2,000 to £15,000 are available to organisations of less than one year old.
*Grants of £2,000 to £30,000 are available to organisations of more than one year old.
Projects should last between 6 and 24 months. The next round for submissions opens on 31st July and closes on 28th August, 2026.

Kellogg's Breakfast Club Grants Programme:
The Kellogg's Breakfast Club Grants Programme is offering grants of £1,000 to school breakfast provisions, to make sure that the children who need it most receive breakfast.

Wildlife Trust - Green Community Grants Programme:
The funding is for organisations whose main aims and objectives fit with one of the following Fund's themes:
*Contributing to nature recovery and responding to the climate emergency.
*Improving nature-rich spaces and access to them.
The grants can be used for a wide range of sustainable activities, including recycling, litter picking, beach cleans or sustainable transport.
Grants of up to £25,000 are available.
Deadline for applications are as follows:
- Round 1 - 25th March 2026 to 22nd April 2026;
- Round 2 - 24th June 2026 to 15th July 2026;
- Round 3 - 30th September 2026 to 1st October 2026.

Comic Relief - A place to belong: Every step of the way:
Grants are available to support UK based not-for-profit organisations that work to empower young people who are at immediate risk of, or experiencing homelessness to access the right support at the right time or advocate for challenging structural racism in housing and homelessness.
Maximum value £450k.

Guidance for using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Fundraising
The Fundraising Regulator has issued Guidance on Using AI in Fundraising.
The purpose of this guidance is to help charitable fundraising institutions comply with the Code of Fundraising Practice (the code) when using artificial intelligence (AI) for fundraising purposes. Follow this guidance whenever you are exploring, preparing for and using AI to carry out charitable fundraising. It is for each charitable fundraising institution to decide if using AI is right for them.

They offer free impartial advice, guidance and information for anyone who wants to set up a voluntary group, charity or community business, and for anyone who volunteers, governs or works for one. They work flexibly with a range of people, and can offer help by telephone, email, face-to-face and online meetings. Sector Connect, Hull are funded by Hull City Council.

Wilkin Chapman Rollits - Charities' Question Time:

Easy Fundraising - A chance to receive £1,000 in funding for your organisation:
Tesco and funding platform easyfundraising have come together again to give a little help to good causes this month.
Your organisation could receive one of five £1,000 funding pots.
During May, when your network of volunteers and supporters shop with Tesco or F&F Clothing via the easyfundraising website or app, your organisation will receive free donations AND has a chance to receive a £1,000 funding bonus!
To qualify for the Tesco Community Pledge:
1. Firstly, make sure you register your organisation with easyfundraising at: click here to register with easyfundraising
2. Then, ask anyone connected to your organisation to use the easyfundraising platform when they want to shop with Tesco or F&F.
Each time one of them shops online, your organisation goes into the draw to receive a £1,000 funding boost.
Plus, when your supporters shop with Tesco in May, they will raise £3 for you if it's the first-time shop, and 50p for each subsequent shop they do at no extra cost, all courtesy of Tesco.

Civil Society Covenant
The Government is soon to launch the Civil Society Covenant.
What is the Civil Society Covenant?
The Covenant is a new agreement to improve and reset the relationship between civil society and government. The Covenant is designed to:
- support collaboration between civil society organisations and government
- ensure respect for the different roles we play, and protect our independence
- support all public bodies and civil society organisations
- build on and support existing agreements in place at a local level
- complement other arrangements in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
