As you will know Hull City Council provide you with the free use of the Hull 4 Funding Community Portal to allow organisations to search for external funding opportunities.
From time to time we send out Surveys. We would be grateful if you could spend 5 minutes to complete these Surveys – the information gathered from the feedback will allow Hull City Council to determine the future resubscription of this portal, in order that we can continue to bring this portal to you for free in future years.
*NEWS*......We are pleased to announce that we (Hull City Council) have re-subscribed to the Hull 4 Funding Community Portal for a further 3 years. The portal is now available to you, for free, until April 2028.
To date, organisations that use this Hull 4 Funding portal have reported securing a minimum of £9.32 million. That's £9.32 million that has supported a vast array of fantastic projects, making a significant difference to the residents of Hull. Please ensure you continue to report your funding successes back to us. Thank you.

City Health Care Partnership Foundation - Small Grants
Randal Foundation Fund
The Randal Foundation Fund has been set up as a collaboration between the Randal Charitable Foundation and Two Ridings Community Foundation to support grassroots charitable organisations with a turnover under £50,000 working in Hull.
Organisations must be working to significantly improve the quality of life for individuals, enabling a long term or permanent betterment of life chances, personal circumstances or physical or mental health.
Organisations can apply up to £3,000 and the deadline for applications is noon on 12th January, 2026. Click here for more information

Guidance for using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Fundraising
The Fundraising Regulator has issued Guidance on Using AI in Fundraising.
The purpose of this guidance is to help charitable fundraising institutions comply with the Code of Fundraising Practice (the code) when using artificial intelligence (AI) for fundraising purposes. Follow this guidance whenever you are exploring, preparing for and using AI to carry out charitable fundraising. It is for each charitable fundraising institution to decide if using AI is right for them.

**NEW** Gambling Harms Prevention Levy Funding for the Voluntary Sector - Expression of Interest
The Government have announced the Gambling Harms Prevention Levy Funding. Expressions of Interest will be accepted from voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations based and working in England.
The funding will support either existing work or new projects/innovation and can cover:
Delivery (gambling prevention);
Workforce Digital support / data systems;
Setting up;
Innovation work;
Partnership work/networks and
Other
Grants between £5,000 and £2m are available. The deadline to submit an Expression of Interest is 9 January 2026 (12 noon).
Applicants will need to register on Find a Grant in order to apply for the grant.

New Fundraising Code
From 1 November 2025, fundraising regulation in the UK is evolving to reflect modern fundraising practices. Fundraising organisations should review the new code and support guides and begin preparing to ensure compliance. For more information click here

Civil Society Covenant
The Government is soon to launch the Civil Society Covenant.
What is the Civil Society Covenant?
The Covenant is a new agreement to improve and reset the relationship between civil society and government. The Covenant is designed to:
- support collaboration between civil society organisations and government
- ensure respect for the different roles we play, and protect our independence
- support all public bodies and civil society organisations
- build on and support existing agreements in place at a local level
- complement other arrangements in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
