Government Consults on Proposals to Address Legacy of Northern Ireland's Past

The Government has launched a consultation that includes proposals to implement the four new legacy institutions set out in the 2014 Stormont House Agreement (SHA) and the Government’s Manifesto for Northern Ireland 2017. The Government believes that these institutions, which represent the balance of a political agreement between all the parties to the Stormont House Agreement, including the UK Government and Irish Government, provide the best way to address the legacy of Northern Ireland’s past.
