Pre-announcement of Transnational Cofund Call for Research on Infectious Animal Diseases

The new ERA-NET on Infectious Animal Diseases (ICRAD) has published a pre-announcement of an upcoming Call for research on animal health focusing on key epidemic and (re)-emerging threats and developing novel vaccine technology platforms and diagnostics.
The new ERA-NET Cofund International Coordination of Research on Infectious Animal Diseases (ICRAD) aims to support cross-cutting research to improve animal health and welfare, with associated benefits towards public health, the environment and the economy. Animal diseases cause severe social, economic and environmental damage and in some cases threaten human health as well. Animal health is a key and a fundamental pre-requisite to ensure and enable global food safety and security, public health, international trade, and to contribute to high standards of animal welfare.
