Launch of EIC Horizon 2020 Blockchains for Social Good Prize

The prize is designed to develop scalable, efficient and high-impact decentralised solutions to social innovation challenges leveraging Distributed Ledger Technology (DLTs), such as those used in Blockchains.
Horizon 2020 is the EU's programme for research and innovation. It will run from 2014-2020 and is the successor to the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). Innovation prizes, also known as inducement prizes, are an instrument of Horizon 2020 which help to deliver breakthrough solutions to problems of societal interest in Europe such as energy security, climate change, ageing society, public health and so on.
