The Hannah Corne Green Futures Fund is now open for applications!

We’ve created this fund in memory of our beloved colleague, Hannah Corne. The spirit of the fund honours Hannah’s passion for communities, her infectious warmth, and her love for the outdoors. In her name, we’ll fund neighbourhood-based climate action projects that create healthier, greener and more hopeful futures for local communities.

Key information

• We actively welcome more applications from, or benefitting, people under-represented in our grant making: LGBTQIA+, racially minoritised, d/Deaf or disabled people
• Funding can support projects and activities that are nature-friendly and help to support the environment through reducing carbon
• Projects should be practical, inclusive and rooted in local neighbourhoods and communities
• Organisations and activities must be based in Leeds
• We welcome applications from small, constituted groups as well as registered community organisations, with an income of under £150,000 in the last financial year
• The amount requested must be at least 50% of the total cost of the activity
• Only one application per organisation can be considered

Examples of activity that can be funded

We trust you to know what your community needs, but here are a few examples to spark some ideas:

• Projects that reduce barriers to spending more time outdoors for vulnerable community members, such as guided nature walks, outdoor wellbeing activities or community running or walking groups
• Projects that encourage sustainable travel, such as bike repair sessions, cycle confidence activities or local walking initiatives
• Local initiatives to increase access to green spaces and reduce carbon
• Repair, reduce, reuse and recycle initiatives
• Feasibility studies to explore green energy options for community buildings or assets

Location: Leeds

Duration: up to 1 year

Deadline: 28/09/2026 at 12 noon

Decisions: December 2026
