Pears Youth Fund is now open for applications!
The Pears Youth Fund is a partnership between Leeds Community Foundation, GiveBradford and Pears Foundation, which aims to support organisations to deliver youth work and promote youth voice, youth empowerment and youth activities.
Key information
- We actively welcome more applications from, or benefitting, people under-represented in our grant making, for example LGBTQIA+, racially minoritised, d/Deaf or disabled people
- The majority of people you work with for this project should be aged between 5 and 20 (or up to 25 with additional needs)
- Organisations will need to clearly demonstrate how their work with young people is underpinned by Youth Work Values and Principles (See FAQs)
- Organisations must have an income between £30,000 and £850,000 in the most recent financial year
- Organisations based in Leeds or Bradford will be prioritised. If the organisation is outside these areas, they must demonstrate a clear link and track record to the area
- Only one application per organisation can be considered
Examples of activity that can be funded
You can use the funding for core costs linking to your work with young people, specific activities, or a mix of both. These are examples of the types of youth work the grant can support:
- Activities that support young people to gain life skills
- Activities that enable young people to meet new people and build connections
- Activities that enable young people to get into nature and explore new environments
- Activities that support young people to gain new experiences, opportunities and make memories
