Driving Brighter Futures Fund is open for applications!

The Driving Brighter Futures Fund is a partnership between JCT600 and GiveBradford that invests in projects providing trusted support for children, young people, and their families. Successful organisations will improve mental and physical wellbeing and help children and young people fulfil their potential.

Key information

  • We actively welcome more applications from, or benefitting, people under-represented in our grant making, for example LGBTQIA+, racially minoritised, d/Deaf or disabled people
  • Organisations must be based in and have a registered address in Bradford and be able to demonstrate a good track record and connection with the communities in the city
  • Organisations must have an income under £750,000 in the most recent financial year
  • Only one application per organisation can be considered

Examples of activity that can be funded

  • Design and deliver bespoke training and materials to enable students to take a lead in supporting their peers in their school, college, or university, through activities focused on issues that affect young people’s mental health.
  • Weekly drop-in sessions for local young mothers and their children using activities and discussion to address key risk factors common to single mothers, particularly Black, Asian and minority ethnic mothers and mothers at risk of long-term mental health conditions.
  • A local sports club may deliver complementary physical/sport activities, with targeted one-to-one mentoring work and group sessions, to young people aged 8 to 25, who have been referred internally from organisations such as schools and colleges.

The above are just examples, and we welcome a broad range of project ideas that respond to the fund criteria.
