Now Open | Pears Youth Fund

Leeds Community Foundation is pleased to partner with Pears Foundation to open the latest round of Pears Youth Fund.

Pears Youth Fund is a partnership between Leeds Community Foundation and Pears Foundation, which aims to support organisations to deliver youth work and promote youth voice, youth empowerment and youth activities.

Key information

  • We encourage applications from under-served and/or under-represented communities across all our funding opportunities
  • The majority of people you work with will be aged between 5 and 20 (or up to 25 with additional needs)
  • Organisations will need to clearly demonstrate how their work with young people is underpinned by Youth Work Values and Principles (See FAQs)
  • Organisations must have an income between £30,000 and £750,000 in the most recent financial year
  • Organisations based in Leeds or Bradford will be prioritised. If the organisation is outside these areas, they must demonstrate a clear link and track record to the area
  • Only one application per organisation can be considered

Examples of activity that can be funded

  • Activities that support young people to gain life skills
  • Activities that enable young people to meet new people and make connections
  • Activities that enable young people to get into nature and out of their usual environment
  • Activities that support young people to gain new experiences, opportunities and make memories
  • Activities that support physical health and mental wellbeing

Grants can cover core costs and/or project costs. Please see the FAQs for further information

Grant Size: £20,000 (£10,000 a year)

Location: Leeds and Bradford

Duration: 2 years

Application Deadline: 15/07/2024 at 12 noon

Decisions: September 2024
