The Government is consulting on ending the sale of energy drinks to children to prevent excessive consumption of high-caffeine energy drinks by that age group. Evidence suggests that excessive consumption of energy drinks by children is linked to negative health outcomes; affecting children's physical and mental health, as well as sleep latency and duration.
