Government Launches Review of Cannabis Use for Medicinal Purposes

Home Secretary Sajid Javid has announced that the Home Office and Chief Medical Officer Professor Dame Sally Davies will undertake a review into the scheduling of cannabis for medicinal purposes. The Home Secretary also confirmed to Parliament that if the review identifies significant medical and therapeutic benefits, then the Government's intention would be to reschedule cannabis for medicinal use.
