Office for Students Publishes Its First Strategy and Business Plan

Established by the Higher Education and Research Act 2017, the Office for Students (OfS), the new regulator for higher education in England, has published its first strategy (2018-2021) and business plan. The OfS has replaced the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and the Office for Fair Access (OFFA). It became formally operational on 1 April 2018. Competition, choice and student interest are central to the new regulator.
