Meet the Funder: Sir George Martin Trust
Tuesday 11th February (10.00pm – 11.00pm) on zoom
Meet Carla Marshall, the Trust’s Manager and find out more about this independent grantmaker which aims to improve the well-being of disadvantaged and vulnerable people in West Yorkshire by giving grants to locally-based, registered charities and churches who support their local community.
The Trust generally gives out flexible, one-off grants for running, capital and project costs, ranging from £500 – £5,000 to organisations which:
- Deliver support and/or activities which benefit disadvantaged and vulnerable people living in West Yorkshire.
- Are a West Yorkshire-based registered charity, CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) or church.
- Have less than a £1million income (based on their last financial year’s accounts).
Also find out about the progress of the pilot project offering extended funding (multi-year) including guidance and support, available by invitation only to a small number of locally registered charities/CIOs with an income of around £100,000 or lower.
Carla will outline the criteria and application process of the Trust, giving tips on making a good application.
To find out more about the Trust go to: Home - Sir George Martin.
The event will be very informal and you will have the opportunity to ask Carla questions.
The session is free to Registered Charities, CIO's and Churches in Leeds.
