Funding Advice Enquiries
15/04/2011
Sarah Moss is the first point of contact for the Keighley/ Shipley area and will be asking other KIVCA team members if they can help if the group is not based in an ERDF area. For enquiries we can’t deal with right now, there’s a waiting list option. This will help us to record demand for the service. In Bradford, the Voluntary Organisation Support Officers at BCVS (Peter Tate, Chris Barker and Katherine Wyatt) are the first point of contact. If anything changes, I'll let you know.
This is the text that’s going in Briefing Bradford – feel free to use it in any newsletters/ email updates you send out.
Latest news on funding advice service provided by bfunded
The generic one-to-one funding advice service provided by bfunded in Shipley, Bingley, Keighley & Ilkley and the bfunded funding advice surgeries provided at Bradford CVS are currently suspended whilst we await news of further funding.
In the meantime, we are referring voluntary and community groups to a waiting list available from http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/bfundedwaitinglist
Is there any one-to-one help available from bfunded?
Yes, it depends on where your group is based. Support is available to groups based in the 10% most deprived areas of the Bradford district. Please contact Sarah Moss, bfunded advisor (marketing & promotion) to check your group’s postcode. Email sarah@kivca.org.uk or telephone 01535 612510 (direct line, voice mail available) or Chris Light, bfunded advisor (finance and development), telephone 01274 722772 or email chris@bradfordcvs.org.uk
What if my group is not based in an eligible area?
If you register on the waiting list at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/bfundedwaitinglist we will keep your details on file and if the funding advice service is recommissioned in the next 3 months, an advisor will be in touch.
If the funding advice service is not recommissioned in the next 3 months someone from KIVCA or BCVS will get in touch to discuss the group’s options.
Can I still search for funding on the bfunded website?
Yes, you can search funding using the bfunded website www.bfunded.org.uk This online service is still free and is currently funded until at least 2012. Look out for our new website coming soon, with email funding alerts, case studies and all new help and advice information.
What about training?
Funding-related training and events are listed on the bfunded website – they may be able to help answer your enquiry. For the latest workshops please visit http://www.bfunded.org.uk/diary/ - this includes details of any b-supported training courses on fundraising.
Need help urgently?
If your group is based in Keighley, Shipley, Ilkley or Bingley and needs funding advice urgently, please call Sarah Moss at KIVCA on 01535 665258 or email sarah@kivca.org.uk At the moment, the generic funding advice service is not funded. Until the future funding situation is clarified, staff at KIVCA will try and deal with as many requests for help as possible but understandably this will not be the same one-to-one funding advice service as previously provided by Lynn Leadbeatter.
If your group is based in Bradford, please call Bradford CVS on 01274 722772 and ask to speak to a member of the Voluntary Organisation Support Officer team or email support@bradfordcvs.org.uk
