Personalisation - Financial Best Practice
10am-1pm, Wednesday 2 February at Bradford CVS, 19/25 Sunbridge Road, Bradford BD1 2AY
The workshop will give a brief overview of how people can access individual accounts in Bradford before exploring some of the key issues that organisations need to consider such as:
- systems that you will need to have in place for recording sales to a number of individual customers
- potential cash flow issues related to individual accounts
- specific personalisation-related issues – such as how/whether to contract with individuals, and whether you can charge in advance for services
- issues related to financial management, and management of any bad debt.
The workshop will be practical and interactive, and will be of use to any third sector organisation in Bradford that is actively considering delivery of services to people through personalisation.
The trainer is West Yorkshire Community Accounting Service.

Creative Support Planning Workshop
10am-1pm, Tuesday 8 February, Thornbury Centre, Leeds Old Road, Bradford BD3 8JX
Participants will work together to consider some real, anonymised examples of people in Bradford who have been through the social care assessment process so that they could be offered an individual account.
The workshop will consider the outcomes that they said they’d like to achieve (in terms of independence, social interaction etc.) and see how much money they were allocated. Small groups will work together to consider creative ways that they could achieve their outcomes, whilst staying within budget. They will then compare their ideas with what they actually received – and discuss any issues that this raises.
