Access
There is level access into the building from St Paul’s Street. To gain access to the building, there is an intercom system on the left hand side of the door. Press the button labelled Heritage Lottery Fund and wait for an HLF officer to answer. We will then buzz you into the building. Our offices are on the 4th floor which can be accessed via the stairs or the lift, both are located in the foyer of the building. There are toilets, including an accessible toilet, on our floor located on the right as you leave the lift.
Alternatively, an HLF officer can meet you at the entrance to the building if you have any specific access requirements. Please speak to the HLF officer you are meeting with or contact the office on 0113 388 8030 before your meeting to make arrangements.
Directions from the train station
Walking from the station takes 5-10 minutes. When you leave Leeds Station you will see a public space in front of you. Cross over Wellington Street and then turn left down Quebec Street. At the crossroads turn right onto East Parade and take the first left onto St Paul’s Street. Follow the road down all the way to the bottom and Carlton Towers is located on the right hand side where St Paul’s Street meets Queen Street. Carlton Tower is a red brick building with blue window frames.
Taxis and buses are also available from outside the train station, if you leave by the Aire Street exit.
